Every mission can be done in a group and most nodes have a group of people doing the lich missions so you'll find help on your way to completing the lich. (Future edit I found out if you clear the planet it unlocks 2 more planets) Edit: Future edit; he spawned only once by the time I completed level 3. Apparently the only way to kill or capture a Lich or Sister once you get the combination is to fight them in the RJ Node. - Kuva Lich doesn't spawn if you abort mission or don't successfully extract. I've already tried using my extremely survivable Inaros build with a Rubico Prime & a Rattleguts chamber kitgun both modded for the 2 statuses that my Lich was weak against.
